The Oatley RSL Sub-Branch is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for veterans and their families within the Oatley community. We align our mission with the values of RSL NSW, prioritising respect, support, and the well-being of those who have served our nation.
Our commitment is to provide essential face-to-face support and comradeship, ensuring that our local veterans and their families feel valued and connected. We actively engage with the wider community, promoting awareness of the services available to veterans through our Sub-Branch and RSL NSW. By facilitating access to local veteran support services, we aim to empower veterans and their families, helping them navigate resources for their unique needs.
In accordance with the RSL NSW Strategic Plan and charitable purpose, we strive to uphold the spirit of mateship and community service, reinforcing our legacy of care and camaraderie for those who have bravely served our country. Through our collective efforts, we aim to build a resilient community, honoring our veterans while supporting their journey toward a fulfilling and connected life.
Welcome to the Oatley RSL sub-Branch. We’re part of Australia’s largest ex-service organisation, connecting veterans and their families to helpful services and providing a valuable outlet for community engagement support. We organise Social, sporting and recreation events every two months.
RSL NSW is a member-based veterans’ charity founded in 1916, and a part of Australia’s largest veterans’ charity, the Returned and Services League. It is a statutory corporation incorporated under the RSL NSW Act 2018.
RSL NSW and the Oatley RSL Sub-Branch does not own or operate clubs or poker machines, and RSL sub-Branches are separate entities from RSL Clubs.
Our sub-Branch is operated by local veteran volunteers from all services and conflicts and we stand ready to support our local veterans, and their families.
Oatley Veterans and their families can connect with our Defence veteran community by contacting and joining the Oatley RSL sub-Branch or by joining RSL NSW to access services and support, along with camaraderie, mateship and recreational activities, bringing together our veteran community through those activities.
The Oatley RSL sub-Branch and its dedicated members coordinate commemorations, such as ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day, and welcome new members and volunteers to coordinate events to remember veterans’ service and sacrifice. The Oatley RSL Sub-Branch has imbedded and dedicated services and support staff for local veterans and their families. We also coordinate a number of recreational, social and sporting events for our members and local veterans, throughout the year.
Whilst the Oatley RSL Sub-Branch is the property owner of 23 Letitia street Oatley, we do not own or operate the Oatley RSL Community Club, the Oatley RSL Sub-Branch and the Oatley RSL Community club are completely separate entities. The Oatley RSL sub-Branch does work closely, however, with the Oatley RSL Community Club in the community to support veterans.
Send us a message to find out more about joining our sub-branch.
